So this week has been good to me and the other missionaries. We have been working hard. Most of our district had baptisms this week and the zone leaders should have one some time this week. Thankfully for Elder Mundt and I we were blessed and Humberto has been officially baptized and confirmed. What a wonderful feeling to be apart of someones conversion to the gospel. He is a wonderful man and i am sure will make a great addition to the lords servants.
So besides that It was Elder Mundt's birthday on saturday. He is now 20. Ugh... I hope i never stop being a teenager. I am just going to ignore my birthday this year! haha. It was fun i took him out for ice cream and that was the same day as a ward party and the baptism. I dont think he could have had a better birthday.
The ward party was a total blast! it was a hawaiin festival type thing. It was great food and they made the elders go up and dance in front of everyone. It was fun to goof off for a bit. haha. We had some great investigators show up. Really was a great time.
We have also had the opportunity to meet with bishop buck of the conyers ward this week. What an incredible man. He is a convert to the church with such a powerful testimony. We spent a good two hours with him talking about ways we could help the branch and ward stregthen one another. He is truly a man chosen of God. He has a wonderful spirit about him.
Lets see, Our investigators who have baptismal dates are doing well. Edith is still pretty solid. Hopefully She will feel the inspiration come to be baptized. Her son has been a bit of a bother. He has been trying to come up with all these bible doubts. It is ok though... The missionary pal i recieved from Ryan has owned everyone who tries to challenge us with the bible. haha. I usually try to avoid conflict but sometimes you just have to shut people down.
So that is life i dont know what else to say really. i am sorry. I wish i had something cool to tell you all but nothing really besides the baptism has happened. I Love working in Georgia. this branch has been interesting, Kind of a struggle but there are wonderful people here and I pray it will begin to increase in attendance.
So I want to say thank you to all of you who write me each week and for the wonderful encouragement I have recieved. The talks that i have been studying have been just the thing i have been needing. Last week we had a sweet dodge ball tournament! I got owned. but oh well. haha.
Love y'all
Elder Delgado
