So it has been another week in the life! It has been quite the blast being here. I am not so sure how i feel about my area personally, but it is so much fun traveling around and helping other areas improve. This week I went on a two day exchange with a District Leader. His name is Elder Smith and he is from Colorado. He is a fun guy! We were given so much success by the lord as we were able to commit two people to baptism with dates! we also were able to find tons of new people for them to teach. As of right now... we are trying to help our zone "catch the vision" of being focused on our purpose 100% of the time.
According to preach my gospel our purpose as missionaries is to invite others to come unto christ by recieing the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. This is a great purpose that allows us to truly inline ourselves with the purpose of the Godhead. They are one in purpose as to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) As missionaries (and members of the church) we will find fulfillment and joy as we become one and strive to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
I have found this as a true principle lately. I have finally figured out how to help others come unto christ by mentioning baptism from the very begining. This is the vision that we want all in the mission and especially our zone to catch fire on. Hartwell has done that along with a few other areas in the zone. I have been so blessed to see the changes that have occurred as we all come together. This week we plan on training a few more areas and we are just so excited to make all of this happen!
This week we also had a zone conference and had the opportunity to see the views of other people in focus groups and surveys. It was sad to see how many people have been misinformed of our beliefs. It was a good motivational view to help us understand that in order for others to understand our beliefs we are the ones responsible for doing it. This past week alone the finding efforts have doubled and we were blessed with tremendous success.
As far as the investigators that we have in my area... we are scarce for the moment but really trying hard. We were blessed the past few days as we had to attend to an emergency in the zone earlier in the week. Just last night we were out tracting when we came across a family of five from mexico. They were all moving in and seemed to have a very special spirit about them. as we explained who we were and chatted with them for a bit the spirit was wonderful as you could see them begin to light up. We found out that they had been in the states for a mere 2 weeks as a family. the father had been here for years attempting to save money to bring his family. We also found out that 8 years ago he had the opportunity to talk with LDS missionaries and read the book of mormon. There is no doubt in my mind that there is something special about this family and I'm really praying all will work for the best.
Elder Self got a "greenie" package from Elder Young's mother in it and along with it I got an Alaska hat! yeah! haha. sadly though... with 3 of us there... no one got mail this past week! haha. come on fam! j/k. no worries. I just feel bad for Elder Young... he is the mail lover in our apartment. haha. Oh yeah... I got a bed this week too! so that is great. I am really enjoying this companionship and I'm seeing wonderful things happening. Keep praying for us!
Dear mom and dad. I love you. I am so happy to hear that your doing well. Please help our family and help them see that the gospel is where you recieve all of your blessing and strength. I love you both. Dear others.... haha. sorry... running out of time. I love you! I am so happy to know that all of you are doing well. I am praying for you and hope to continue hearing from you in my emails. even though this is all i write usually.
Much Love!

huerto, salvo uno de ellos, el árbol de la ciencia del bien y del mal;
“Pues, he aquí, si Adán no hubiese transgredido, no habría caído
