Hey!
How is everyone doing? I am doing wonderful here in conyers. It is my second to last day in this area. We recieved transfer calls on sunday. I am grateful to be going but sad at the exact same time. I have met a great deal of wonderful people in this area that i love so much! It has been wierd saying goodbyes to all my friends after such a long time of being here. A half year is a good amount to get attached! haha. The members are amazing and I look forward to the day in which i will return to visit.
So alot has happened this past week! We have had a car so we have been able to work alot more efficiently. We have been seeing some wonderful people and I pray that this area will begin to blossom once more. Also, for the time being (as of new years) we had another Elder join us in the apartment until transfers this wednesday. He is a nice guy. I have enjoyed having him around.
Elder Eversole has been pretty sick. he has been in bed all week which meant I have been taking a English Elder with me for the past few days. Now I see the blessings of why there was a Foursome in our apartment plus Two spanish. It has been packed. haha. oh well. good times.
I am going to miss my companion. I have grown to love him a great deal and know that he will do wonderful things in his life. I am excited however for the opportunity which I have to move to a new area. I am praying that I can go somewhere that the lord will allow me to make miracles happen with help. I pray Elder Eversole will have the same blessing with his new companion. As far as the other people in the apartment go... Elder Kilpelainen and Elder Peterson are being transferred as well.
I am seriously going to miss being around them. Elder Kilpelainen has been such a wonderful blessing in my life. More than I could have ever imagined. He truly brings out the best in me! He has been the most spiritual of all the missionaries that I have served around on my mission thus far. There is a very special glow about him and his love for the gospel makes you want to serve the Lord more valiently then you did before. I look forward to spending much time with him after the mission.
Elder Peterson... man, I have come to love this kid with my whole heart. If you dont remember to well... me and him didnt get along to much toward the begining. However the Lord truly refined us both and we are sad to see that we wont be living together. I am glad that I have been around him. I know that I have become a better person because of his presence.
Elder Folker... I dont think I have told you to much about Folker before. He is a great Elder! one of the most dedicated that I have met on my mission. I have been blessed to know him as well. He is a Idaho boy but i think I will definately get the opportunity to see him again some day.
Tonight we have a family home evening with the Noldens. I'm excited for it. We also had a way fun game of dodgeball once again. I dont think I could have asked for a better preperation day. Got to see a lot of my good friends and just enjoy there presence. I'm just super excited for the next transfer! pray that all will go well in my next area and with my next companion please! I love you all!
Elder Delgado
p.s. Funny story... Elder Eversole and I decided to take a bunch of things that belonged to the other elders in the apartment and wrap it up for christmas. It was hillarious hearing them say... " I feel so bad we didnt get you guys anything! " It was some good laughs when they realized that all the things in there already belonged to them. such as scriptures, socks, top ramen, and expired food. haha.
