Conference weekend...

Family,

so the past two weeks have been two of the harder weeks here on my mission. We had alot of potentials and we were looking forward to baptisms but as satan threw his attacks many fell and we have had to struggle to maintain our high expectations up.

There always seems to be things that go wrong but i am truly grateful that this weekend we had the oppurtunity to hear from our prophet and other leaders of the church. What power they spoke with as they seemed to hit on almost every topic I felt needed to be addressed. It was a great answer to my prayers especially when L. Tom Perry spoke about member missionary efforts. He spoke with such power calling forth the members to do their part in building the lords kingdom. The members are the shepherds and we are the rescue crew. I would exhort all who read this to find someone they love and care for who is ignorant of the restored gospel. Share your love for the gospel with others and help the missionaries come into there home to teach them. Be present and bear strong testimony of the things you know to be true.

L. Tom Perry spoke on opening your mouth. As he explained what to do a powerful prompting of knowledge came to me. I know that as members of the church of JESUS CHRIST we carry the spirit of the lord constantly with us. As we testify of the reality of the restored gospel the spirit will communicate and give TRUTHFULNESS to your words! All human kind is blessed to have the light of christ within them. This is what gives us a conscience and a basic understanding of right and wrong.

The light of Christ is so powerful and can grow! As we are striving to be pure and live gospel standards the light shines brightly. Through this light we can discern who are the elect waiting to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is what the spirit will communicate through. As we speak to our friends remember they have this light. You have a greater gift however... the spirit. Use it and allow them to feel it. As they feel the power of the spirit their desires to learn, grow, and change will become more prevalent.

I know i am jumping around alot but what i am getting at is that we are to share the gospel with all people and bring them to an understanding of the happiness we find within it. Use the 3 testimonies that L Tom Perry describes. When you don't know what to say... open your mouth and testify.

First testify about the savior and his divine atonement, second testify of Joseph Smith and the Restoration, Third testify of the book of mormon! After all, if the book of Mormon is true... There shouldn't be any question about the rest.

I love you all! please strive to share those testimonies as often as you can! I know they will leave last impressions on those you bear it to.Be safe Everyone!
