Hey Everyone! So it was transfers this past week. It was crazy... some people got transferred we didnt expect to leave. We recieved a new missionary in our district as well as two new in the zone. We also had a change in zone leadership. Thankfully, neither me or Elder Mcdonald were transferred.Monday 16
We got together as a zone for one last activity before the transfers. It was alot of fun. We went to a rec center about 14 miles from our place called wills park in roswell. We played alot of basketball and pool. they also have a ping-pong table. It is cool. All in all in the end we ended up playing a pick up game against some wannabe gangsters and took them to town. haha. it was a blast having five missionary against all these guys. beat them 15-10. some how they started coming back from 7-0 but they couldnt do it in the end. haha.
tuesday 17
Back to work. We got divorce papers going with president taylor a lawyer who helps out all the hispanic people get married for baptism. Gina is excited and still going strong even though we dont get to see her all the time. We taught Moises lopez who has a date for the 28th of this month but we dont know if he will go down. we are praying the lord will help him go through with it. We also got to celebrate St. Patrick's day at the smith's. haha. they rock. here is the dl on them.
The smith family is amazing. Ryan smith is the father and he is a financial advisor. He is very successful. Very humble as well. They are... pretty well off and we love to be over there because all the missionaries can have something to do. they have pool, guitar, basketball, ping-pong, and tons of board games. That is not all though. They are just the nicest people ever. always inviting us over for dinner and p-days. sis. smith really takes care of us and reagen plays ball with us. he is 14. Mckenzie is 17 and she is cool. hangs out with us and plays around. Allie is 20 i think and she goes to college but comes home on the weekends. yeah. i think i have told you enough about them. but they rock and are probably my favorite family in the ward. haha. dont tell on me.
wednesday 18
so we got to see a golden investigator whose name is suzi hernandez. she is from honduras and has been looking for a way to change her life. she has been so receptive to the gospel and is great. she has a date for the 28th as well. we pray everything goes as planned with her. her family is totally against us and trying to anti her but she loves the gospel so much that she stands up for us and comes to church. i let you know how it goes with her later.
Later that night we also got to see antonio and liliana. they are a great couple and have alot of potential. we contacted antonio on his porch and they have been really receptive. Antonio and liliana accepted to be baptized on the 31st and so we are praying they will go through with it.
Saturday 21
I am jumping ahead now because this is was a big day and i am running short on time. i will also tell you about sunday here. so we got to see antonio and liliana tonight. they were struggling with some marriage problems but we taught them with the spirit. It was so powerful. the spirit told us what to say and how to teach them and after an hour and a half we got them committed to staying together and working things out. they are great. they came to church the next day and loved it. you can really tell the spirit changed them. they say they will be coming next week as well.
We also had the oppurtunity to meet two new people at church today. there names are alvaro and rosa. they said we can teach them and that they will come back to church. it was a great week. lots of blessings. however, at the moment we are praying that everything can go as planned. we are striving for the lord to touch the heart of our investigators.
