Well, Transfers went down. We had one person get moved from our apartment. We now have Elder Gomez with us. We served around eachother in Cherokee and it is great to see him again. We are going to do our best to keep the work going. Although I did not get transferred out of the apartment, I was moved areas. I am now working with Elder Carnley full-time. It is tough because Elder Blair and I had some great things going. Here in the outer area... things are kind of dead. It is ok though. With time I am sure we will be able to pick things back up.
We also had a Zone Leader Council this week. It was great getting to see all the other zone leaders. We had a great meeting together even though we had more responsibilities given to us. We are getting pretty worn out. We keep pushing forward though! We had the opportunity to watch the new Preach My Gospel 2 dvd's before anyone else. They are very powerful! they show missionary work in the same way we deal with it here. They showed poor teaching and powerful spirit driven teaching. You could see the missionaries grow throughout the segments and you felt that these set of dvd's was a lot more personal than the last preach my gospel dvd's.
We have to figure out how to help the zone improve now. haha. It can be a burdensome task at times. Hopefully we get some inspiration soon! haha. I have seen a huge shift in the missionary lifestyle from when I first came out on my mission to now. There seems to be a stronger spirit in the mission and I see that Missionaries are coming out more prepared than ever before. This will make training replacements a whole lot easier on us. haha.
As for now, that is about all the news I have. Marcel and her family continue coming to church and are just incredible people. They are so ready to be baptized! we just need the husband to be released from jail. We are working hard and praying for some miracles!
I am glad to hear that all is well back home. Dad, go to the doctor! I will also need Dad's email address so that I can start sending him my email weekly as well. As for my extension... I will not know if I will get it untill the month before i'm scheduled to go home. So hang tight on that. The probability is that i'll be able to stay. if not, if y'all take vacation time later on... I'll be home anyways. haha. anyways... love you all! be safe! especially the toblers on the road!
Much Love,
Elder Erick Delgado
