What is up?!
So we have been doing well this week. some interesting experiences. last night, elder McDonald and I went to visit a less active member with a good heart. Unfortunately he was having a hard time. As we entered his home we both felt that something was wrong. We were not sure what it was so we sat down and talked. I became really calm but i could see that Elder McDonald was very uneasy. The member then brought out some anti against the church he had found. The spirit came to me and I felt very calm but Elder McDonald felt otherwise. We began to talk about the subject of opposition to the church. He began relating experiences that he has been seeing things. That "Demons" have been trying to follow him and constantly attacking him. He was going off like a rocket. wouldn't let us get to many words in. At one point and time Elder McDonald turned to me and said, "Do you feel that?" as i turned my attention to the spirit I was feeling, It was then that i was able to discern what it was it was telling me to do. There was an evil spirit and many things trying to attack this member. Satan sending demons into his very home to bring him down. I felt a burning sensation from the spirit that all would be find. I was at complete peace although i was entirely aware of what was present. We left him with a prayer. I had the oppurtunity to bless the home and you felt the presence of the unwanted spirit leave as the authority of christ was excercised. It was definately an awesome experience. Terrible that the spirit was there in the first place but way cool to see the authority of God cast it out. I reflected on this experience with elder McDonald. We spoke of the different impressions we both felt and the things we were experiencing. It was odd to think that i was a complete peace with a powerful burning in me and how elder mcdonald was uneasy. he was not scared but recognized something was wrong in such a different manner then i did. It is amazing to see the difference in how the spirit will speak and manifest to each individual. I feel like we were together and felt distinct impressions that were completely different to understand what it was we were to do! companionships rock! I am grateful for Elder Mcdonald.
Well sorry that was not indented at all. haha. well other news. Jorge who was to be baptized on the 30th has been run out of his house and is now going to mexico. we had the oppurtunity to talk with him. he says he will continue going to church and that he has friends who are members. I know the lord will bless him and take care of him. He knows everything is true.Francisco and Guadalupe are awesome but lazy. They never come to church and it is very frustrating so we plan on laying down the law next time we go over with them. Gina and Tino are doing great! they came to church and brought a friend! haha. yeah! so that was good. they still want to get baptized, they just need to find 200 to get gina's divorce going. I hate how everything costs money in this world. Really sucks.Leo Lopez! yeah this man rocks. We have finished all the lessons with him and his baptism is on saturday at seven! we are stoked. Along with that we just met another family that is part member. Her name is Hermana Parra y es de VENEZUELA! yeah! I hope she invites us over to eat arrepas. haha. anyways... point to this is that she has a grand daughter that is eight. she has been going to church all her life with hna. parra and wants to get baptized. unfortunately neither her father or mother is a member. they have however given the ok for us to teach the little girl and allow her to become baptized if that is her desire! That is definately a blessing. We have our first appointment tonight and we pray we can spark the parents interest. other then that i dont know what else to say. we are working hard. the church has now officially launched a finding happiness campaign! we were one of the first missions to test it for the church and now they are a go! it rocks! we will also be one of the first missions to test a "Everyone Welcome" campaign. This is to put marquee's out in front of our church building. I guess many none members mistake our churches for temples and believe they are not welcome. We are praying this campaign will change that view and bring more people to church and activities! haha. I love be a guinea pig for the church. Makes me feel special! haha.Anyways... all is well. I am sick from allergies... again. oh well. I love you all. And a big thanks to mom who wrote me a email today! i loved it. makes my day better! thank you! you too francys!
love you all.
be safe!
Elder Erick Delgado
