Busy Week

Hello everyone! This week has been one heck of a week with a ton of work to do! It was a total blast as usual though. no worries! haha. so this is what has been going on.
This morning I went to the dentist and got a free cleaning from a member in the ward who does all of the missionaries dental work for free! what a nice guy huh? along with that we have done some shopping today and just enjoying preperation day! So this past week I had the opportunity to be a traveling zone leader. haha. I worked in different areas from tuesday morning to saturday night. It was a total blast!
The first stop was in Commerce to work with two sister missionaries named Sister Miles and Sister Whitworth. It was so wierd being around sisters without another Elder. (dont worry... it was cleared!) Once we got to working though I felt fine. It was cool to see how they work so differently then Elders do. We had some wonderful people to teach and some good success. At the end of the night i was dropped off to the Winder area to work with Sister Warner and Sister Snoody. They live right around the corner from the Fort Yargo Elders. That is where i spent the night.
The next day it was off to work and to do some training with the sisters. As we put a big focus on our purpose we saw some wonderful things occur as blessing from the lord. The sisters were able to give out 2 baptismal dates and help many other people see the importance of baptism in there life! It was great to see that. The night ended out with me going back to plan with Fort Yargo and to sleep over there one more night.
That next day it was off to work with Elder Coleman and Elder Whitehead. They are great Elders and Elder Coleman is very experienced. This being his last transfer. 3 more weeks! crazy! We had the opportunity to find some wonderful new people for them to teach and really got to learn a lot about them. That night I got moved to the monroe area. I planned with them and spent the night there.
Then to work! haha. we did some training once more and focused on baptism and how to teach more effectively. It was great to see the hard work they were putting in! we also got to go to a great hibachi grill named tokyo! It was just a blast being able to work with Elder Shaw and Elder Blum. They are definately putting forth a lot of good work with 2 baptismal dates. That night I planned with the commerce sisters over the phone to get the next days events scheduled. Then i spent my last night with Monroe.
The next morning we did a radio show that is broadcast to 250,000 people in various parts of the country. It was a blast being able to go live to so many people and share the points of doctrine that we believe in. As we did this we discussed the 17 points of the true church and later I found out that you can listen to this radio station online! Sorry, looks like you guys missed out on an opportunity to hear me preach on the air waves! haha. who knows.... maybe someday i will be there again. I would suggest to all who have to the time to listen in to log on and google power1021 fm. that is the frequency for it. I'm not sure the website. The show is every saturday at 9 a.m. Georgia time.
After the radio show it was time to move on to another area and work. We shuttled me up the areas. Monroe Elders to Winder Sisters to Commerce Sisters to Elder Young and Elder Self at the end of the night saturday. We had to do this seeing as how it is 120 miles round trip for us to drive from monroe to cornelia. So I worked all day saturday with the commerce sisters one more time and did some training. we were able to find so many new people to share the gospel with! It was great to see them improve as they learned new things and commited more to baptism. It was great to see one of their investigators accept to be baptized in may.
I finally ended up at home where from there i went to church the next morning with my companions! I missed them very much while i was gone! haha. It was ward conference and translating some of the talks was super difficult! Couldn't believe it. We had a linger longer after and had some amazinog food! we then had the opportunity to present an Idea we had to the stake president to move the work forward within our zone. It includes daily contact with the ward mission leader, weekly contact with the high council representative of in the area, a monthly visit with the bishop, and a report of the weekly coordination reports. We have trained our entire zone to implement this and we are praying this will help the stake.
That night was call in reports where i got to speak with my beloved friend Elder Kilpelainen. haha. man, I miss living with that guy! needless to say it was a long report to the assistants that night but a lot of work has been done and we felt great with everything that has been going on. We can't help the missionaries if we dont know each one personally. We feel that we've been blessed with a 3 man companionship... we plan on using it!
As far as the week goes... that is it for now! I had a blast! Franny! thank you for the letter! you rock! funny side note... I ate McDonalds as i opened your letter.... finding the gift card! haha. oh well... lunch another day!

Much Love,
Elder Erick Delgado
