Hey Blog This! Book Of Mormon Challenge

Hello family and friends!
Yet another week in the life of me. So of course... It was amazing! haha. well here is what has been going on. Julie is doing great! she is ready for her baptism this week and I am so grateful to have seen the change that has happened in her. She has such a very special glow about her. Each day it grows brighter as she comes closer to her baptism. Cody on the other hand has hit a bit of a road stump with some anti and deep doctrine.
He is super amazing and is still willing to learn and work things out. He is praying hard for his answer and I am really praying that the lord will speak peace to his mind upon the doctrines of the kingdom that take a little longer to accept. Please keep him in your prayers this week! I know that he can still go through with it! he is ready! his spirit has changed drastically and there has been such a bright spirit that has been deeply effected by anti. Pray his testimony will not fail him and that he can recieve the spiritual witness and guidance needed. full name= Codymason Harbuck also pray for Julie Larson. thank you!
Wednesday we had Zone Conference. They are now held once a month. This Zone Conference was very good. There were definately things that I needed to hear. I felt the spirit powerfully. President King also has challenged our mission to read the Book of Mormon together. I have taken this challenge to heart! I have decided to read the Book of Mormon in both spanish and english to allow the spirit to work on me in a way i have hopefully never experienced. I know the book is mormon is the word of God and already as I have begun reading (started saturday according to the schedule) I have felt an immense out pouring of the Lords spirit.
One of the most wonderful things about this is that on wednesday we went to go teach Julie and as we were with her a strong prompting came to invite her to take the challenge with us. She has agreed and everyday we get together to read out of the Book of Mormon. As for the days when we cant see her we read over the phone. Last night we did so and the spirit was great. I know this is what the Lord wants me to be doing and I know it will strengthen my testimony as well as anyone who takes this challenge.(such as Julie)
So with that said... I want anyone who wants to have a spiritual witness that the book of mormon is true to prayfully read it with me. The schedule pans out to an average of 9 pages a day in english and a little more in spanish. I have a color code for marking the scriptures as I go as well. My suggestion would be to get a fresh Book of Mormon and do this as you go. Here is the color code that i am using...
Red...Each Reference to Jesus Christ (any of his names or pronouns referring to him).
Green...His words (Spoken by him or by prophets when they say, thus saith the lord).
Blue...His Attributes
Orange...Doctrine (answers WHY?-- doctrine can be seperated into three main ideas according to Elder Bednar. 1.The Godhead 2.The Atonement 3.The Plan of Salvation Everything in the gospel can be attributed to one of those 3 things.)
Pink...Principles (answers WHAT?--These are guidelines for conduct. Anything that teaches us to live the gospel. Ex. Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Reception of the Holy Ghost, Obedience.)
Yellow...Applications (answers How?--Steps we take to apply a principle of the gospel.)
I'll take a picture of the schedule i am following and attach it. I pray that all who do this with me will feel the spirit as I have. and do me a favor... if you decide to do it... let me know! also... never get discouraged if you fall behind! that is what satan would want!
With that said... It's been a year! Crazy huh? I cant even believe that! I look back at all the experiences I have had and give thanks to the lord for molding me into a stronger better person then i ever have been in my life. I am looking forward to this next year. I dont think it will ever be a reality to me that i am on the downhill slope. anyways... I love you all. thank you for all the support and love you have given me!
